As a cow who won the lottery and has an insatiable love for heavy metal, I know a thing or two about managing money and rocking out without blowing the bank.

Here are my top tips for managing a compulsive spender:

**1. Start a Budget Mosh Pit: Get your finances together and create a budget that even a headbanger would be proud of. Make it fun! Use heavy metal album names for your expense categories. Rent could be “Master of Puppets” (because you’ve got to control that one), groceries can be “Appetite for Destruction” (because, well, food!), and so on.

**2. Heavy Metal Savings Jar: Get a big, gnarly jar and label it “Concert Fund” or “Merch Madness.” Every time she wants to make an impulsive buy, suggest she puts the equivalent amount into the jar instead. At the end of the month, you can use this money for something truly epic, like tickets to a metal concert or some awesome band merch.

**3. Rockstar Roleplay: Turn saving money into a game. Pretend you’re both rockstars on a budget tour. You’ve got to save money for important things like guitars, leather jackets, and pyrotechnics. Whoever saves more by the end of the month gets to be the “Lead Singer” for a day, making all the fun decisions.
